MRS. DOSUNMU O.O. – DIRECTOR, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT UNIT

Olatubosun Dosunmu is Director Office of the State Auditor-General (OSAG) and Research and Development Unit.  A new role in the office of the State Auditor-General, she brings a relentless drive for innovation and a spirit of collaboration to her new role.  She saw how clearly the Office of the State Auditor General (OSAG) can further enhance/promote Good Governance, Transparency and Accountability. She is responsible for driving the Organization’s Research and Development activities, technical directions, to improve quality, including mid-term and long-term strategy, policy and forward-looking research and development efforts.  She oversees Research, Establishment of data base, E-Library services and its integration with the Data standard need across the Office.

Previously, Dosunmu served as the Deputy Director responsible for information Systems Audit from September, 2012 to 2013.  She was responsible for overseeing the In-house Automation of ACL for Human Resources /Payroll Audit. Prior to her ICT Audit leadership role, she oversaw the Statutory Pension Audit activities in the OSAG at State Level and in Collaborations with State Civil Service Pensions Office. (CSPO), Teachers Establishment and Pensions Office (TEPO), Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC) and State Parastatal Organizations, and was responsible for the Certification of Pension and Gratuity Computation and Deduction from 2009 to 1st August 2012.

Dosunmu joined the State Civil Service straight from Lagos State Polytechnic in 1983 as a Higher Executive Officer (Audit). Since then, she’s held a number of management, Staff Development and Training positions across the State Agencies: Office of the State Auditor-General, Department training officer (DTO), former State Treasury, Training School and Public Service Staff Development Centre Magodo and the Office of the State Auditor-General for Local Governments.

In 1997 she moved to the Office of the Auditor-General for Local Governments.  There she began a nine –year tenure as a Resident Senior Auditor. Subsequently, moving on to become Chief Auditor, Assistant Director managing the directorate of Evaluation and Report writing as a Distinguished Auditor.

Dosunmu is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

Dosunmu earned a degree, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from University of Lagos, a Higher National Diploma (HND) in business administration from the Lagos State Polytechnic and a degree, Master of Divinity from the Nigeria Baptist Theological Seminary (NTBS) Ogbomosho. She served her National Youth Service Corps with the First Bank of Nigeria Plc. (1982/83).

She is active in charitable association. She is married and has children and grand-children.
